About Me

Hi. Hello! I'm Kim - the one behind the camera for Wild Fern Photography.

I'm a natural light photographer and take pictures of just about anything and everything! I truly love it all. Just come as you are and I'll take care of the rest. I consider myself pretty introverted and my motto is #stayweird and I live by that. I love the great outdoors, animals (please bring your pets to your shoot, seriously), Halloween, thrifting, plants, PNW, wildflower fields, cute coffee shops and tattoos.

I want to create a unique & meaningful experience. I love the authentic, raw, and intimate images - the ones where you are truly YOU. I want it to feel more like friends hanging out with a 'side of photography.' I will absolutely guide you and have some poses, but I love catching those in between moments that may otherwise get missed. I want to make it fun & love getting to know my clients!

A little bit more about me:

I was born and raised in a small town in Wisconsin but currently reside north of Austin, TX. Like most, I have had a camera in hand since I was a little girl. My grandfather gifted me my first 35mm camera. I started out using film and developing it in a darkroom. I have recently found myself back to my roots and started using it more. I also like my editing style to look and feel like film. My husband and I have been married for 12 years and have 2 children.
